Why do Multigen Australian Labradoodles work well for people with allergies?
The Multigen Australian Labradoodle is a favorite for those with allergies because their coat is very low to non-shedding. Although all dogs have dander, your dog will not leave a trail of hair throughout your home and cause problems for those with allergies. Because Labradoodle skin holds hair tighter than other breeds, it's important to keep up on brushing and grooming for the hair to shed. The curlier the coat, the easier the dog is on allergies.
How do dogs and families get matched? Do I choose my own dog from the litter?
We want every single puppy and forever family to live happily ever after. Our priority is to have the traits and temperament of the dog and family be a great match. All families will be invited for a visit once the pups have reached six weeks of age. If you have a preference, we will ask for your top four choices. Our observations, the input of a trusted animal behaviorist, and your preferences will be used to make the best match. At around eight weeks, we'll formally evaluate the temperament and structure of the dogs to determine breeder dogs and to match to families. We'll send out matches to the soon-to-be puppy parents after the eight-week evaluation. We'll then work with you to select a date for you to come home to pick up your precious puppy.
What is a guardian home?
A guardian home is a way to have the healthiest and happiest breeding dogs in our program. The guardian takes a puppy home at a reduced rate and raises it as every other puppy owner does. When it is time to breed the dog, it comes back to Kerry's Labradoodle HQ for a few days and then heads home. The dog returns to us about a week before the due date and stays in our home to raise her pups until approximately six or seven weeks of age, then returns home again. The guardian and breeder work closely together during this time. When the dog completes their breeding career and is ready for retirement, the guardian family has the dog spayed. After the procedure, the dog is signed over to the guardian family for full ownership. It is a great way to get a dog at a reduced price and ensures that all our breeding dogs are raised with a loving forever family.

What is Puppy Culture and why is it important?
Puppy Culture is an amazing program that guides breeders and owners through the first 12 weeks of their dog's life. It involves stimulation and enrichment that shapes a dog during the critical first weeks of its life. What we teach your dog during its time with us shapes his or her futures well into the adult years. The mission is to for them to encounter the world with curiosity rather than fear.
We begin early neurostimulation during the puppy's neonatal period, which is 0-14 days old. We start with the puppy being held different ways around day three, playing with their toes and clipping their nails, as well as being held and stroked on day four. As the puppy's eyes and ears open, we introduce enrichment in the form of novel toys and objects to begin the startle/recover/curiosity/exploration cycle for the pup.
As the weeks progress, we continue introducing pups to several social situations, small challenges, and novel experiences, including sights, sounds and smells. These experiences encourage emotional resiliency, problem-solving skills, and confidence in your pup that will stay with them throughout their life.
